Battery backup

Backup power starts with the loads you refuse to lose.

We size storage around your priorities — from refrigeration and internet to larger whole-home goals — and show what affects runtime.

The important distinction

Solar alone usually does not power your home during a grid outage.

Most grid-tied solar automatically shuts down to prevent dangerous backfeed. A compatible battery and isolation equipment can create a safe backup system for selected circuits or a larger portion of the home.

The right design depends on how much energy your priority loads use, how long you want to support them, battery capacity, state of charge, and whether solar can recharge during the outage.

Current battery models · reviewed July 2026

Compare the architecture—not just the logo on the wall.

These are the current models we plan around. Every platform has a different balance of stored energy, instantaneous power, solar integration, controls, monitoring, expandability, and warranty.

Model availability can change. Your written proposal will identify the exact battery, inverter, controller, quantity, and configuration included in your project.

Design around real life

What do you need the battery to do?

01

Essential-load backup

Prioritize refrigeration, lights, internet, outlets, medical devices, and other lower-draw essentials.

  • Critical-load panel
  • Runtime scenarios
  • Solar recharge options
02

Larger home coverage

Support more circuits with careful load management and storage sized to the home’s energy profile.

  • Load controls
  • Multiple batteries
  • HVAC evaluation
03

Energy management

Use storage with solar and smart controls to align energy availability with household priorities.

  • Monitoring
  • Utility configuration
  • Future expansion
Questions we model

Runtime is a range, not a slogan.

  • Which circuits must remain available?
  • What is the maximum simultaneous power draw?
  • How many hours or days of support are you targeting?
  • Will solar be available to recharge during daylight?
  • Do you want automatic load controls?
  • What utility and permitting rules apply to the configuration?

Florida storm planning

A battery can make outages quieter and more manageable, but it is not unlimited power. We help you separate must-have loads from nice-to-have loads and plan for conservative scenarios.
