What it brings to the design

The Enphase microinverter we use for compatible high-voltage residential solar modules.

IQ8X is designed for compatible high-output, high-voltage modules, including many 80- or 88-half-cell and 96-cell designs. Sunstorm verifies the panel voltage, current, temperature behavior, and Enphase compatibility before specifying it. We use only IQ8X or IQ8HC for Enphase solar projects.

Final model, configuration, availability, and warranty terms are confirmed in the written proposal.

Why homeowners consider it

Strengths worth putting into context.

  • Panel-level power conversion and monitoring
  • Designed for compatible high-voltage modules
  • Grid-forming capability within supported Enphase system designs
  • Outdoor-rated enclosure and 25-year limited warranty
Often a fit for

Projects with these priorities.

  • REC Alpha Pure-RX and other electrically compatible high-voltage panels
  • Roofs where module-level design and monitoring are priorities
  • Enphase systems that call for the IQ8X electrical window
The design conversation

Questions we answer before specifying IQ8X Microinverter.

  1. Is the selected panel listed as compatible with IQ8X?
  2. Do its voltage and current remain inside Enphase limits at site temperatures?
  3. What grid-interconnection profile applies?
  4. Which Enphase controller and communications equipment are required?

Specifications are only the starting point.

Published capacity, output, efficiency, and warranty information help narrow the field. A valid Florida project also requires compatible electrical design, roof or mounting review, permits, utility interconnection, manufacturer instructions, and a clear service plan.

We use the current manufacturer documentation when preparing the final system scope. If equipment availability changes, any proposed substitution should be documented and reviewed before installation.
